Stereogum's mp3 page usually has good stuff you can download for free. Recents include Spoon, David Byrne and Fatboy Slim featuring my girl Santigold, and good covers from Ted Leo (Concrete Blonde), Hot Rats [Supergrass] (Beastie Boys), and Peter Gabriel (Arcade Fire).
At Spinner Listening Party you can hear whole albums that are just released. For example this week you can hear the latest from Spoon (they're "so hot right now" (like Hansel)), Eels, Editors, the Crazy Heart soundtrack.
